Our athletic development program is built for middle school and high school athletes. We focus on mastering the basic and developing competitive toughness.
Our athlete groups are one of a kind. Combining the environment of team-setting training and 1 on 1 coaching provides a competitive and educational experience. Our athletes come out of the off-season ahead of the curve and hit the ground running in their respective pre-season programs.
Our performance training is led by Ben Williams, CSCS, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with years of experience coaching athletes at all levels. See below to learn how our program is structured.
We start by building work capacity through a variety of movements. This prepares the body for heavier loads in the coming phases. Skipping this phase of training is likely to result in injury and/or stalled progress. This is what we like to call laying the foundation.
We build and progress strength through multi-joint movement patterns such as the bench press, squat, and deadlift variations. At MAX Athletics, we believe that strength is never a weakness.
An athlete who doesn't know how to use their strength is a slow athlete. Once strength is developed, we teach you how to transfer that strength quickly and efficiently.
How will you respond when things get tough and the game is on the line? It's easy to compete when you're fresh, but what about when you're tired? Training the mind and body to respond in the toughest situations is what makes a good athlete great.
